Should You Repair or Replace Your Roof?
Six questions, an honest answer, and the reasoning behind it. This applies the same criteria we weigh on a roof in Lewisville, and it will tell you to do nothing when that is the right call.
Confirm it properly
The Only Way to Be Certain Is to Get on the Roof
This tool works from what you can see from the ground. A real inspection tests hail bruising by hand slope by slope, checks every flashing detail and penetration, looks at the decking from the attic, and measures ventilation against the code requirement.
It is free, it comes with photographs and a written report, and it can absolutely come back saying your roof is fine. Call (469) 470-0610 or send the form.

About This Tool
How accurate is this?
It is indicative, not a verdict. It applies the same criteria a roofer weighs on site: how far the damage spreads, how much life the shingles have left, the leak history, and whether the shingle can still be matched. What it cannot do is test hail bruising by hand or look at your decking, and those routinely change the answer. Treat it as a way to know what questions to ask.
Why does shingle matching matter so much?
Because a structurally perfect repair can still leave an obvious rectangle on a street-facing slope. If your shingle line is discontinued or the existing roof has weathered well past anything currently produced, the honest options are to accept the patch, reshingle a whole slope so the difference falls at a natural break line, or put the money toward replacement.
Does roof age alone decide it?
No, and that is the most common mistake. Architectural asphalt typically runs 20 to 30 years in North Texas, less where attic ventilation is poor or hail has been repeated. Plenty of twenty year old roofs are sound and plenty of twelve year old roofs are finished. Age is one input.
Do I have to give you my details to see the result?
No. The result shows immediately, and nothing is sent anywhere. The form underneath is there if you want a free inspection to confirm it, which is the only way to be certain.
